Farmer Pete has a farm in Somerset. On the farm he keeps cows, chickens and some sheep. With the help of his tractors and his friends he works the farm and helps the people of the village.

Fergus the Tractor.

Fergus is a little grey Ferguson T20 tractor. He is over 50 years old. Along with Berty the Thirty and the other tractors he helps Farmer Pete and has adventures on and around the farm.

Berty the Thirty.

Berty is a shiny red Massey Ferguson 35 tractor. He was the first tractor Farmer Pete saved up and bought when he took over the farm. He lives in the barn with Fergus the Tractor. At the end of the day they love to share stories about what has happened to them on the farm during the day.

Fergus and Berty are worried when Neville arrives on the farm. They are worried that they will end up on the scrap heap again. Farmer Pete soon explains that they can now enjoy their days on the farm as he can use Neville to do the hard and heavy work and they can have an easier life.

Steve the Handyman lives in the village and works for all the farmers, on all of the farms. He especially likes to work for Farmer Pete. He helps Farmer Pete when he needs help with heavy things or large jobs.

Mr Coombs is a very good friend of Farmer Pete. He knows everything about the countryside and the wild animals around Farmer Pete’s farm. He keeps an eye on all of the fields and woods around the farm and helps Farmer Pete to keep the balance of nature.

Young Timmy is Farmer Pete’s son. He is a good tractor driver and loves to drive all of the farm machinery. He helps Farmer Pete on the farm as often as he can.
